# Operations: Past Cycle Names Remain Visible

A task assigned to a past cycle now looks up that cycle directly when it is no longer in the team’s active-cycle list.

The selected cycle’s name and completion state remain available in the task’s cycle control, so reviewing earlier work does not leave you with a missing label.
