# Getting started

Set up your first assistant or social workspace and invite your team.

This page walks you through your first hours with Company Brain: creating an
assistant, inviting your team, and opening the social workspace.

## Prerequisites

- An erxes workspace where you are the **organization owner** (assistant and
  workspace provisioning are owner-level actions).
- A Company Brain entitlement. Business School plans of 3, 10, and 25 people
  grant 3, 10, and 25 total assistant slots shared by OpenClaw and Hermes;
existing gifts and add-ons also cover both kinds. Enterprise installations
  are unlimited.
- For assistants: a model provider account — either an API key or an active
subscription plan with one of the supported providers.
- For Postiz on erxes SaaS: access must be enabled for your organization by a
platform administrator before owners can set it up.

## Find the plugin

Open the **Company Brain** group in the erxes sidebar:

- **OpenClaw Assistant** — `/agent/assistant`
- **Hermes Agent** — `/agent/hermes`
- **Social / Postiz** — `/agent/postiz`
- **Templates** — assistant templates you can start from

## Create your first assistant

The OpenClaw and Hermes flows share the same identifier concept: you first
create a named identifier (which reserves a plan slot), then the runtime is
provisioned for it.

### Step 1 — Create the identifier

1. Open the module page and select **Add OpenClaw Assistant** (or the Hermes
   equivalent).
2. Choose **Setup type → Create new server** (or import transfer credentials
   to re-home an existing runtime).
3. Enter an **Identifier name** and a short **Description**, then Continue.
4. The identifier is created immediately and reserves one plan slot — even
before the runtime exists. Deleting the identifier frees the slot.

### Step 2 — Choose the provider

1. Pick **API key** or **Provider subscription**.
2. Select a provider and complete its credential or authorization steps.
3. Confirm to start provisioning. Provisioning can take several minutes; the
page polls the runtime health until it is serving.

### Step 3 — Open and share the assistant

- Open the assistant detail page to chat with the runtime in a health-gated
iframe — it only mounts once the runtime answers.
- Invite team members from the assistant's member management. Members can
open the runtime and check health; only owners and creators can edit,
  deploy, transfer, or delete.
- Connect Discord from the assistant's Discord management sheet (optional).

## Set up Social / Postiz

1. Open **Social / Postiz** at `/agent/postiz`.
2. On erxes SaaS, wait until a platform administrator has approved your
organization. On an enterprise installation, the owner enrolls directly
   with a single-use operator code.
3. The owner creates the tenant workspace with a separate Postiz password.
4. The owner selects the **initial Postiz Admin** from active erxes users.
This one-time choice also applies to existing workspaces.
5. The initial Admin invites teammates as Admins or Members from the page
header. Uninvited users never see the workspace.

## What you can do next

- Switch or update a provider connection at any time from the assistant's
connection dialog — timeouts during apply mean "still applying", not
  failure.
- Export **transfer credentials** to move an assistant to another erxes
organization without losing data or provider connection.
- Enable the CMS → Postiz publishing bridge from the Postiz Admin controls
if your team creates content in the erxes CMS.

If provisioning fails or access looks wrong, go to
