The Operation plugin helps you organize your work effectively by structuring tasks around **Teams** and **Cycles**. By assigning tasks to teams and distributing them across time-bound cycles, you can improve team collaboration, planning accuracy, and performance tracking.

### 👥 **What is a Team?**

A **Team** represents a group of users working together within your organization or on a shared product area. Each team has its own:

- **Tasks (Issues)**
- **Projects**
- **Cycles**
- **Custom workflows and views**

### **How to Create or Join a Team**

**To create a new team:**

1. Go to **Sidebar → Settings → Teams**
2. Click **"Add Team"**
3. Fill in the team name, description, permissions, and other configurations

**To join an existing team:**

- Hover over the team name in the sidebar and click **Join team**

### **What is a Cycle?**

A **Cycle** is a time-bound period (e.g., 2 weeks) during which a team plans, works on, and completes tasks. It functions similarly to an Agile sprint.

### **How to Create a Cycle**

1. Navigate to the **Cycles** section from the sidebar
2. Click **"Create Cycle"**
3. Define the cycle name, start and end dates, and select the team it belongs to
4. Save to create the new cycle under that team

### **Assigning Tasks to a Cycle**

- From the task detail view, use the **Cycle** field to select a cycle
- If the task’s due date falls within an active cycle, it will automatically be assigned to that cycle

### 🎯 **Why Use Teams and Cycles?**

- Each team can independently manage its own workflow and focus areas
- Cycles help teams plan short-term work and evaluate progress in a measurable way
- Improves visibility, accountability, and team velocity over time
