### What it does

Company Brain is where you create and manage AI assistants for your organization. It includes two main assistant types: OpenClaw Assistant, a multi-platform AI with memory and community skills, and Hermes Agent, a self-improving AI that learns workflows and creates skills over time.

### Main elements

-   **Left sidebar:** Agents module with Company Brain selected.
-   **Sub-menu:** OpenClaw Assistant, Hermes Agent, Social / Postiz, OpenDesign Studio, Supermemory Engine, and Paperclip Orchestrator.
-   **Main area:** Lists existing assistants or shows an empty state.
-   **Add button:** Creates a new assistant.

## **Hermes Agent**

Hermes Agent is a self-improving AI that learns from workflows and auto-creates skills. The Hermes Agent page shows an empty state until you add your first assistant.

## **Creating a Hermes Assistant**

Click **\+ Add Hermes Assistant**. In the first step, enter:

-   **Setup Type** — Create new server.
-   **Identifier Name** — A unique name.
-   **Description** — The purpose of the assistant.

Click **Continue**.

## **Hermes Provider Selection**

Select an AI provider, enter the API key, and choose a model. In the example, OpenRouter is selected with the Auto Router model. Click **Connect erxes AI Assistant** to provision the runtime.

## **Hermes Runtime Provisioning**

The system builds the Hermes runtime, which usually takes 1–2 minutes. Steps include:

-   Preparing deployment
-   Creating an isolated workspace
-   Attaching persistent storage
-   Starting the Hermes runtime
-   Configuring the AI connection
-   Verifying runtime health

A notification confirms when the runtime is provisioning.

## **Hermes Chat Interface**

Once ready, the Hermes chat interface opens. It shows:

-   **Top toolbar:** Refresh, search, undo, gamepad, share, and delete options.
-   **Left sidebar:** Tabs for chat, calendar, grid, memory, files, profile, tasks, analytics, and documents.
-   **Main area:** Welcome message with prompts like:
    -   What files are in this workspace?
    -   What's on my schedule today?
    -   Help me plan a small project.
-   **Message input:** Type a message to Hermes.

## **Hermes Sidebar and Toolbar**

The Hermes interface provides quick-access tools in the left sidebar and top toolbar. Use these to switch between conversations, scheduled tasks, files, analytics, and other agent features.
