Contacts

How to use: Access your contacts database by clicking "Contacts" in the main navigation—this displays all people and companies in your system. View contact information by clicking on any contact name to see their full profile including personal details, communication history, purchase records, and related tickets or projects. Add a new contact manually by clicking "New Contact" or "Add Contact" and filling in required fields like name, email, phone number, and company. Import multiple contacts at once by clicking "Import" and uploading a CSV or Excel file with contact data—the system maps your columns to contact fields. Search for specific contacts using the search bar at the top—type names, email addresses, phone numbers, or company names. Filter contacts using advanced filters to find groups like "customers in New York" or "contacts added this month"—combine multiple criteria for precise results. Edit contact information by opening the contact profile and clicking "Edit"—update any outdated details like addresses, phone numbers, or job titles. Add custom fields to store unique information relevant to your business by going to contact settings and creating new field types. Tag contacts with relevant labels (VIP, Newsletter Subscriber, Event Attendee) by selecting contacts and clicking "Add Tag"—tags help organize and filter. Merge duplicate contacts by selecting the duplicates and clicking "Merge"—choose which information to keep from each record. Track all interactions automatically as the system logs emails, calls, tickets, and purchases on each contact's timeline. Add manual notes to contact profiles by clicking "Add Note" and typing important information from conversations or meetings. Assign contacts to team members as account owners by selecting the owner from the dropdown—this clarifies who manages which relationships. Export contact lists by selecting contacts and clicking "Export"—download as CSV for use in other tools or backup purposes. Delete contacts by selecting them and clicking "Delete," but note this also removes their history—consider marking inactive instead. View contact segments they belong to in the profile sidebar showing which automated groups include this person.
