How to use: Access client portal management by selecting "Client Portal" from the DEVELOPER section in the settings sidebar. Create a new customer portal by clicking the "+ Create client portal" button—opens a setup form for configuration. Enter a descriptive portal name that identifies its purpose or target customer group clearly. Configure the portal domain where customers access their portal—set up subdomain or custom domain for professional branding. Customize portal branding by uploading your logo, selecting colors, and choosing themes to match company identity. Set up portal features—enable or disable modules like ticket viewing, invoice access, document downloads, knowledge base access. Configure registration settings—decide if customers can self-register or require invitation from your team. Define authentication requirements including password complexity, two-factor authentication, or single sign-on options. Set customer permissions controlling what actions they can perform—view-only, submit tickets, upload files, make payments. Generate portal access tokens for API integrations or programmatic access to portal features. Edit existing portals by clicking the three-dot menu—update settings, change branding, or modify permissions as needs evolve. Test portals thoroughly before launching—create test accounts and verify all features function correctly and branding displays properly. Share portal access with customers including URL, login instructions, and explanation of available features. Monitor portal usage and collect customer feedback to continuously improve the self-service experience. Delete outdated portals when no longer needed while preserving historical data for compliance. Create multiple portals for different customer segments if serving diverse groups with different needs.
